SCHOOL HOURS: 7:45 AM - 2:40 PM Benton High School majestically overlooks Southwest Parkway, one of St. Joseph's many beautiful parkways. The school was established in 1905 and moved to the current location on March 21, 1940. The P.B. "Pop" Springer Gymnasium was dedicated in 1960. In 1969, a two-story, twelve-room wing was added; and in December 1990, a new addition was opened. Benton High School is noted for its "family" atmosphere and for the strong, loyal support of the southside community
